Twins at 15 & 16 months

You both have grown a lot these past two months. New words, new emotions, new tantrums...! You both have really grown to love being around one another. You wouldn't have it any other way. If one wakes up from a nap they are right by the other's door wanting to go inside and play. You know when the other is sad and try and cheer them up. Brooklyn, you love your family so much and are so affectionate towards us. Beckham, you are always hugging us and laughing. You both bring such a joy to the family. We only have one more month until you hit the big 18 months!

Brooklyn
Loves to say hi every second of the day
Points to pictures of Jesus and says Jesus
Waves hand by her nose when she has done a stinky
Got 3 more teeth
Climbs on furniture
Weened from the bottle and doesn't care much for milk anymore
Good at stacking her blocks
Discovered hitting and biting...
Can drink from a straw
Says 'no' and understands what it really means (this is a good thing!)
Very picky and hard to feed sometimes. She loves to be in control of her food
Will not eat pieces of food, you have to give her a whole of something
Not fond of the ocean waves
Says 'bye-bye', 'baby', 'book', 'more'
Learned how to open the toilet lid...and threw a roll of toilet paper inside...
Recently has loved to read books and asks for one right after she wakes up
Has enough hair to do pigtails!

Beckham
Loves to cuddle and wrestle
Climbs on couch
Constantly wanting 'phone
Babbling more- We think he said Bye Bye and Bubble
Got all 4 canines
Eats cheese, peas, bacon, cashews, nectarines and chicken nuggets :)
Weened from the bottle and doesn't care much for milk anymore.
Loves to give hugs but bites your shoulder at the same time...And thinks its funny!
Can drink from a straw
Likes eating stuff off the floor (still)
Very good at getting off things
Loves the waves at the beach
Learned how to open the toilet lid...YUCK
Has had his 2nd haircut already!

Our Weekend

This past weekend we enjoyed spending time as a family (aka) getting things done around the house! We finally picked out some shelves for our closets. Lets just say its been 7 months since we have moved into our house and living out of trash bags is NOT my thing anymore. We are going for the dark wood kind of look from Allen & Roth.

We were also graced with a nice double rainbow! We get one just about every week and they are beautiful!

And the weekend wouldn't be complete without eating with the whole family!

Photobucket

And yes to get through dinner our kids watch shows on the iPad...hopefully that isn't frowned upon because I am sure if you were the ones sitting next to us, you'd want to have an enjoyable dinner!

Just a little obsessed

I have become a little obsessed lately with trying to think of new items to add to my Etsy shop. I decided would try and make some more jewelry items and I ended up coming up with the single strand stone bead necklaces. I guess I am allowed to be obsessed because it's something I am passionate about! If you have time, take a look around HERE and let me know what you like! It's always great to get feedback because then I know what people will buy :)

I love the color combo mixed with the different textures.

My BF Snooki

So you know those days when both your kids are sick and you get thrown up on? And your cute boy is leaning over the toilet looking like a throw up champ. And you are bathing both whiny kids so fast before one blows chunks again. And your hubby decides to go with the boys to a baseball game 3 hours away and doesn't tell you until the very last minute possible he thinks you won't get mad...

Well, I am happy to say we made it through the day and the kids are in bed {sigh} and now I can enjoy my new BF Snooki while it rains outside my window.

Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark

OH.MY.WORD

This was unbelievably good! So easy to make...and might I add a great gift to give for the holidays coming up!

If you would like to partake in this yummy goodness too, check out the recipe below!

Ingredients:
  • ½  bag of mini pretzel twists
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 bag of chocolate chips
  • Sea salt or table salt
Directions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  • Then line a large jelly roll pan with aluminum foil and lay a single layer of pretzels down.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and the brown sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Let it boil gently just until it starts to stick to the bottom and it forms a nice smooth caramel. You’ll want to let it bubble a little and get really thick.
  • Remove from heat and pour evenly over the top of the pretzels (don’t worry if every single pretzel isn’t covered). Put in the oven at 350 degrees for five minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top. You can let the caramel melt the chips, but I prefer to put it back in the oven for one minute.
  • Spread the chocolate chips around with a spatula until mostly melted.
  • Sprinkle generously with salt. If you use sea salt smash it a bit to make the salt smaller and sprinkle just a LITTLE bit or else your bark will be TOO salty! YUCK!
  • Let cool on the counter top for a few minutes and then pop in the freezer for at least two to three hours.
  • When it comes out of the freezer, break it up into uneven chunks with your hands and serve.
Quick tip: I found it tastes best when right out of the freezer. It will start to melt after sitting on the counter top for more than a few minutes.

Labor Day Fun

For Labor Day we got out of the house and headed to the beach! This is the second time for the kids to go but the first time as our whole family :) Let's just say it was a lot easier with Clark there this time around!

Brooklyn liked the water this time and Beckham decided to take a little snooze in his float for a couple minutes.

We also enjoyed a company party at the bowling alley! The kids were wanting to get into everything and play with all the bowling balls. Needless to say, after 3 games, we left! But I did beat Clark at one of them!

Happy Labor Day!
