Helmet Time

For the next few months, Beckham will be sporting a new gadget on his head! He has a flat spot we are correcting so hopefully in the next few months it will correct and he can be helmet free! He has adjusted so well and I think he looks just adorable.

I have never met a happier baby! Beckham is the sweetest little boy EVER.

Can these little kiddos get any more cute? I just love their smiles. Their personalities are showing more and more every day. They love playing with each other and taking toys away from one another. Isn't it funny how when one has a toy, the other wants it? They are sitting up so well this month and they are moving their legs a lot when they are on their stomach. They are happy babies and we have been truly blessed to have them in our family. We bought a home in October and hope to move in it in January. I look forward to finally setting up their own nurseries! Beckham is my great sleeper and Brooklyn has decided to just take two 1 hour naps a day. Maybe this will change... Brooklyn has started to have a little 'tude' (attitude) and does not like to do things if she doesn't want to. She also does not like it if you take something away from her. Beckham is still the happiest little baby I have ever met. We just love them both to pieces! They love their daddy and love playing with him when he gets home from work. They have started eating more solid foods and its been so fun to see them try new things! We look forward to seeing these babies continue to grow over the next few months!

We had a wonderful Christmas eve and Christmas morning! Grandma Gray gave all the grand kids matching pajamas! How fun! The kids didn't know really know what was going on but they sure were good at unwrapping presents! They got toys and clothes this year from friends and family. We look forward to next Christmas to see what they will do!

Santa came to the Ward Christmas Party at church and the kids loved it! Well they didn't cry so that was a plus.

This is what I saw on my walk today which turned into a jog/run because it started to rain. I was in my normal clothes mind you and there were tons of workers around sitting in their cars watching me.

.humiliating.

I however had to stop, pull out my phone and snap this shot. I just love rainbows!

Oh, and just a word of advice. If there are gray dark clouds outside, most likely it will start raining. I should have paid more attention. I felt like a wet cat when I got home.

I am a new proud owner of a jogging stroller and I LOVE it. It makes me want to work out and get back in shape.

I LOVE the 80 degree blue sky breezy weather we had today.

What a joy it is to be a mom to these babies. They are growing up so fast and I can't believe they are 7 months old. They are becoming more alert and their personalities are really showing through. Brooklyn knows what she wants and usually gets it and Beckham is just a sweet little hunk of baby. Because the babies are able to do more like sitting up and going a little longer between feedings, I am able to get a little bit more done around the house as well as play with them and feel like I am actually being a mom! They love going on walks outside. The best part about their age right now is they notice one another. They have for the past few months but they 'talk' to each other now. It is fun to watch. We do not see the pediatrician again until they are around 8 months so I don't have any stats.

Thanksgiving 2011

We had a great Thanksgiving this year in the Gray household. We played it some what low key this year as Clark's sister Kristin is having her baby ANY day now! It was also Layla's birthday that day! She enjoyed her cake and opening all her fun presents. We love you Layla! We love being near family for the holidays!

Today we got out of the house and enjoyed some fresh 80 degree November weather! The kiddos sat on their blankets and played with their toys while mom tried to 'relax" get some pictures.

We don't get out that often unless its to the store after both babies have napped and eatin. It was a nice change of pace :)

Today we ventured out to the yard to take advantage of the beautiful weather. I took my camera and hoped the babies would find the grass somewhat intriguing.

Clark's 30th Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLARK!

I started singing him Happy Birthday this morning while I gave him his gifts. I then proceeded to say what I would have written on his birthday card (he doesn't like getting cards, they are a waste of money he says!) and he stops me and says no start over. He kept on doing it like 3 times until he finally said...'don't say happy 30th, I don't like that!'

Oh geez, I wonder what he'll say when he turns 40!

We all love Clark. He is such a blessing to our family. He is very smart and like his mom always says: 'you always want Clark on your team.' That is very true! He is a loving father to his kids and they always smile at

him.

I remember having our first date in October 2005 and he was turning 24 that next month. I filled his car with balloons on the morning of his birthday and brought him a cake too. I snuck into his apartment and there he walks out of his apartment room in his undies not knowing who just walked into his place..haha it was kinda awkward and I felt so sorry for my roommate who was accompanying me! What great times!

We look forward to spending many more birthdayws with you. I love you Clarkie and I hope you have a WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY this year! MKK!

Just a few things going on around here:

Beckham has been teething for awhile now and a few days ago we saw his bottom left tooth popping through! He hasn't been a bad teether at all! He will whine if he needs some comfort on his gums and baby oragel does the trick. Thank goodness!

Brooklyn is practicing sitting up and she is doing really well! She still topples over after a few minutes unassisted but she will get it soon! Look at that hair growing in! I love it!

Happy Halloween

The babies were cute little pumpkins for Halloween this year. I only managed to snap a picture of them in their costumes while we were at the church Trunk or Treat. On the day of Halloween we had a few trick or treaters. Seems as if the kids will have more fun next year when they can actually walk!

Has it really been 6 months since these little babies were born?! Time is flying by so fast for our little family. Each day is a new day that brings happiness and fun. The weather has been really nice recently so we have tried to get out of the house and go for some walks. The kids love to sit up and look forward rather than being in those car seats :) They both enjoy tummy time just a little better since their neck and arms are getting stronger and they can hold themselves up. They are growing out of their clothes faster than ever and it makes me so sad! I still think of them as my 4 and 5 lbs babies! It has been getting a little less stressful to be a parent of twins this month. They are eating more which means eating every few hours and MORE sleep during the night. They are also taking a little bit longer of naps. This is what I was looking forward to ;) They have started on rice cereal and baby veggies and will start fruits and the sippy this coming week. There are so many new things they are trying now. I love it! I absolutely love being a mom to Beckham and Brooklyn. I adore them and it makes me feel so good that they rely on me and love me just as much. As the saying goes 'they never said it was easy, they only said it would be worth it!'

Grandma Nelson comes to visit

This past week my mom came down from Georgia to help us out (and visit) the kiddos! We loved the help and loved having her here. She took the night time feedings and it was so NICE! Thanks mom! We did a little shopping when the kids were up but mostly stayed around the house. We look forward to when we see her again!

First Rice Cereal

We started the babies on rice cereal and it took just a little while to get used to. They have been on it about 3 weeks (Sept. 29th) and Beckham is now just getting the hang of eating it without fussing. Brooklyn on the other hand LOVES it and eats 2 tbls and still craves more! I can't wait to start them on veggies and fruits in the next months to come!

5 Months Old

The other day some family was holding my babies and I had a little tear in my eye because I noticed my babies are getting so big! It seems like just yesterday I was at the hospital. Time sure does fly and these babies are growing by the day. I broke down today for a brief second. Brooklyn and Beckham choose their days to fight naps and when they are over tired and just cry, I want to just cry too. It is HARD. Two babies keep you on your feet ALL day. Beckham was down for a nap one day and Brooklyn had all my attention for about an hour and I was like 'Geez, taking care of just one baby is SO easy!' Haha, hopefully I will be blessed with just one baby next time :) I do love our little twins though.

Each month Beckham and Brooklyn surprise me with new things they are learning. This month they both started to roll onto their sides. They haven't mastered the full roll but will hopefully get there soon. They both also love playing with their toes! It is VERY cute! They both babble and spit constantly.

Beckham LOVES the exersaucer! We find out next week if he will need a helmet for his flat spot on his head...hopefully he won't need it.

Brooklyn hates the exersaucer after 10 minutes. Geez girl! But she loves her bouncer. She kicks her right leg back and forth and it makes her chair bounce. I love it because then I don't have to bounce her!

We can start rice cereal now!!! I hope they get used to it because it would make mom REAL happy! I am looking forward to introducing fruits and vegetables next month. Any tips/tricks you have with starting babies off on rice cereal? I've been advised to do it by spoon by the pediatrician.

Felt Flower Pillow

Today some friends invited me to do a little crafting! They were making Felt Flower Pillows and the tutorial they were using was SO cute and easy!

I bought my tan pillow at Walmart for $5 and bought the brown felt at Joann's for $1.19!

I think it turned out pretty good! I hope I don't go felt flower pillow crazy!

Did I ever show you...

our apartment we lived in while in Singapore for a year? I have a friend who just moved their family to Switzerland and their new apartment there is AMAZING! It made me think about all the adventures we had while living in a different country. I would love to do it all again! Clark and I agreed that we would get a smaller place to save money so that we could travel. Let me remind you that it was only 400 sq. feet! We were only there at night (we both worked) and on Sundays so its not like we had to fit a whole family in there.

The clothes washer (the dryer for us were rods across the ceiling we hung our clothes on... very tricky sometimes) the sink and the door leading to the bathroom.

Our "cabinets" and hot plate. It made making spaghetti tricky haha.

Our small fridge, microwave, and table. We used that microwave for everything. We even had a sandwich maker which made tasty little hot sandwiches :)

Looking back at this experience, I am so grateful for a house and SPACE. I know people live like this every day so I am especially grateful for all the things I have.

The Help

A few weeks ago I went with some friends to see 'The Help' in theaters. WOW, it was such a great movie. I was laughing and crying through the whole thing. It really made me think twice about how I treat people.

The Help is a 2009 novel by Kathryn Stockett. The story is about African American maids working in white households in Jackson, Mississippi during the early 1960s.

I had a few friends who already read the book but as a new mommy I sometimes don't even have time to take a NAP! So I opted out of reading the book and did a girls night out to see the movie. I've heard the book is REALLY good so if you decide to read the book before hand you can get it at Amazon I believe for the best price.

Pumpkin Oatmeal Muffins

Again, I had all the simple ingredients for this DELISH dish!

Pumpkin Oatmeal Muffins

Ingredients:

(makes 9)

■1 cup all-purpose flour

■1 cup oats

■1/2 cup packed brown sugar

■1 tsp baking powder

■1/2 tsp baking soda

■1 1/4 cup canned pumpkin pie mix

(Use the Easy Pumpkin Pie mix that already has the spices in it)

■1 egg

■1 tbsp canola oil

■1/2 tsp cinnamon

■1/4 cup raisins

■1/4 cup walnuts

(I didn't add the walnuts or raisins. Instead, I added chocolate chips!!!)

Directions:

■Preheat oven to 375*F

■Coat muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray or line muffins cups.

■Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl; blend well.

■Pour batter evenly into muffin tins.

■Bake for 18-20 minutes.

■Allow to cool, and enjoy!

Labor Day 2011

We had a wonderful, lazy, Labor Day...well Clark worked almost all day and I took care of the kids so I guess it wasn't too lazy but I would like to think it was....We took the kiddos in the pool later that day (mostly for mom's benefit because I am pasty white!) and they enjoyed it! Phil brought home some things to grill out and Clark made some amazing homemade onion rings.

Cinnamon Sugar Almonds

I found this recipe and had all the simple ingredients:

Directions:

In a large skillet combine the sugar, cinnamon and water. Add the almonds and stir constantly with a spoon over medium heat, coating the almonds with the syrupy mixture. Keep stirring until the sugar crystallizes. Remove the pan from heat and scoop the almonds onto wax or parchment paper. Let the cinnamon almonds cool before serving. These can be made a few days ahead.

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar

3 cups raw almonds (or any other nut)

1/2 Tablespoon cinnamon

1/4 cup water

Took less than 10 minutes! YUM!!!

I'm not gonna lie, taking care of two babies is a lot more tough than I expected. They want to eat at the same time, be with mama at the same time, wake up at the same time, fall asleep at the same time....or fall asleep at separate times and wake up at separate times resulting in mom always having a kid up and no break! But I know the Lord gives me strength some how! I love taking care of these babies. They make me smile and laugh and even cry because I am so filled with joy. Who wouldn't love these little faces

Brooklyn's Pierced Ears

We headed to the pediatrician to get Brooklyn's ears pierced today. I wanted to pierce her ears when she got old enough as a baby. I did feel really bad and almost cried because I knew I was causing her pain she didn't have to have :( Good thing she forgave me and doesn't realize what happened a few minutes later. I think she looks adorable and I can't wait to get some bling bling later for her ears!

I can't even believe that the twins are 4 months today! They are getting so big and this age is getting so much fun! They love attention and we sure give it to them :) I still sometimes can't believe that our babies are here. It seems like yesterday that they were in my tummy. They do things every day that make us smile. We LOVE them!

Our New Home!

A few weeks ago we put an offer on a house here in South Florida and the seller ACCEPTED! We close the end of October then some minor renovations start! The best part is we are down the road from the inlaws and we are in the same neighborhood as Clark's sister and her husband!

Also, cross your fingers because we think our renters want to buy our home we own in Tampa!!!

5th Wedding Anniversary

Well I can't believe it but Clark and I have been married for 5 years today! We have done so much since being married. We have moved 4 times (one overseas), bought a house, got a dog, had twins and the list goes on. I wouldn't change anything and I am so happy that Clark is mine. We compliment each other well and keep each other in balance. Can't wait for the many years ahead!

We didn't buy each other anything this year because we decided to go on a Eastern Caribbean cruise this November instead! We both are really excited and can't wait!

We went to Sushi Masa tonight and got some Thai food. It was pretty good and reminded us of the food we ate while living in Asia.

Babies First Swim

On Saturday we had some McDonald friends over for a get together. We grilled shish kabobs and swam! This was the babies first time in the pool. They loved it! Well, they really didn't show any emotion but I will take that over crying! Can't wait to do it again!

Wow, time sure does fly! We love these kiddos!

Their 3 month check up went well minus them having to get their shots and blood taken :( They are growing on target and hitting all the milestones they need to so far.

Beckham is such a little lover. He is a mommas boy for sure. He continues to smile at people and has started to babble a bit. The other day I put him down to take a nap and I heard a little giggle. Beckham was looking up at the the mobile mirror above his head and giggling. It was pretty cute. Beckham loves bath time and kicks his legs over and over. He tends to get mama wet! He also love it when he gets his diaper changed. I mean who wouldn't like a fresh diaper on their tush? I just love him so much. He brings so much joy to our family.

Brooklyn is such a little cutie. I love this little girl. She eats her hand and sucks in her top lip when she is hungry. It is prettttty funny! She is more of a drooler and talks to you a little more. She loves talking to people and will smile real big! The best part of my day with her is when I go in to get her from her naps and she knows you are going to pick her up and feed her so she smiles REALLY big! I love it! Brooklyn also likes bath time and getting her diaper changed.

A Visit to Douglas, GA

This week we had the opportunity to visit my family in Georgia! This is the first time my mom's side have seen the babies! It was really important for us to visit sooner than later because of my grandma's condition. Her cancer has come back and we wanted her to have the opportunity to see her new great grandchildren :)

We had a wonderful 4th of July yesterday! We spent the day chilling at home and eating some good ole steaks, chicken, and hot dogs!

Today was Beckham and Brooklyn's 2 month check up! They did super well considering they had to get 3 shots :( Lets hope that makes them sleep a little more today ;)

Beckham is growing so much every day. He loves to be held by anyone but he constantly moves and kicks his legs. He never sits still! He doesn't like to take naps and mommy doesn't like that very much. He coos and smiles every day and its so adorable. He recently found his hand and has started to suck on it. Beckham rolled over for the first time a few weeks back and I think its because his big head helped him out! We recently introduced the paci and he doesn't care to take it. That can be good and bad! He also loves tubby time!

Brooklyn is starting to fill out more and is getting some rolls! She still loves to sleep and mommy likes that!!! She smiles and knows who her mommy is :) Brooklyn rolled over one day before Beckham! She has also found her hand and sucks on it sometimes. She is cooing too and will take her paci! It had been a lifesaver some days. She loves to be rocked to sleep and to be held. She is a snuggle bug. She likes to nap on her stomach and will sleep longer when she does.

We love our little babies! I wish I could get a nap in once in awhile but with two it can be tricky! Brooklyn is sleeping as we speak and SURPRISE...Beckham is wide awake!

Our Growing B's

These babies just don't stop growing! Brooklyn has almost doubled her birth weight. Just give her another week or so and she'll be over 8 lbs. She loves to sleep on her tummy and will smile just a few minutes after she closes her eyes close. She loves being held and likes for you to cuddle her up on your stomach. Her eyes are still blue so she may just be lucky and have Clark's eyes! She still looks like me I think!

Beckham is our little/big butter ball! He sure is a chunker weighing over 11lbs! Sometimes we joke and ask him where his neck is. He is the sweetest little boy there is and you just want to kiss those chunky cheeks. He still smiles ALL the time and loves being held as well. He likes to be facing outside so he can look around. We've noticed recently he has a tired whimper. I can't get over how much he looks like Clark!

They both have strong legs and love to kick and try and stand up when you have them on your chest. They'll hold your finger while eating and sometimes try and hold their own bottle! Maybe that is mom's wishful thinking ;)

We love them but can't wait until they can sleep through the night! :)

Beckham and Brooklyn's Baby Blessing

Today was such a great day! Beckham and Brooklyn received a baby blessing at church from Clark. For those of you who don't know what this entails: Clark gives the child a name and adds words of blessing as the Spirit directs. It was such a sweet spiritual experience to hear Clark speak loving words to our kids. It was also great because all the men in the Gray family and my dad participated in this.

I can NOT believe our little babies are a month old! Time sure does go by fast! It seems as if they were born yesterday. Each day sure feels the same since all they do is eat, sleep, and go to the bathroom. I wouldn't change my days for the world though. I love these little babies! We are still sleep deprived but love that we have family here to help out!

Beckham has changed physically the most. He is such a chunker now! His face was very slim and pointy when he first was born but now he sports the double chin and is grandma's "bag of sugar!" He smiles every day without fail and its usually after he eats. He grunts all the time and it is pretty funny. When he is hungry, he lets you know because he won't stop wiggling and crying.

Brooklyn is a little mini me. She looks exactly like I did when I was born. She is still so tiny compared to her brother. She smiles at us as well but not as often. Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was awesome! First off I have my two wonderful babies to be grateful for as well as Clark! Clark cooked me some breakfast before heading to church. I tended to the kiddos while he was gone and then when he got home we ate lunch with his family. It has been so nice to have so much help around here. The twins pretty much take up my whole day and I get lucky when I get a break and get a nap (thanks Kristin and Vicki). I wouldn't change this for the world because I love being a mom! When we were at the hospital, there was a newborn professional photography group called 365. I was hoping our hospital had a photo service and surprisingly it did. We found out about once we arrived. I expected a little more but the pictures we got were great. Nothing Clark and I couldn't have done ourselves though but oh well. Family Visitors

A few days after Beckham and Brooklyn were born, my grandparents and great aunt came to visit. They are snow birds from Ohio and live in Florida for 4 months out of the year. Thank goodness these babies came before they left!

We are so happy to be home with our sweet healthy babies. They are so precious and perfect. I bet Heaven misses these little angels :) Everything so far has gone perfect and I am so grateful for that. I would probably rate my labor and delivery experience a 10 because I had an awesome husband, doctor and MEDS!

For those interested in my birthing story, here you go!

On Monday April 25th, I got the results back from my OB that the lungs of our babies were mature and that I could get induced on Tuesday. We went into the hospital at midnight on Monday and checked in to our room. My AWESOME OB Dr. Newman was already on call and there for the next 24 hours delivering babies. The plan was to induce me at 4am. They hooked me up to my IV and said they would come back later at 4am and that I should get some rest. Around 3am I was re-adjusting myself and all of a sudden my water broke! The nurses came in to help me up and get ready for the doctor to come in at 4 to give me pitocin. After they started the pitocin I was having very mild contractions around 5am and then at 6:30am I was only dilated to a 3 but in pain!!! Clark was fanning me constantly and I swear his arm was going to fall off. I finally got my epidural at 7:30am and it was the best thing EVER! I sat back and finally rested until 10:30am when my doctor came back in to check me. I was still only at a 3...bummer! I felt pretty nauseous considering I had nothing in my stomach and had pitocin in my system. Clark's mom, my mom, and my sister-in-law Kristin were there by that point. Dr. Newman came in again at 1:30pm and said I had dilated to a 9.5!!!! YAY! None of us believed him. Who knew I would have progressed that fast! They started to prep me for delivery and Dr. Newman had me push a few times to get things started. After 5 minutes of that he said 'well let's get you ready to have these babies!' By 2:00pm Clark and I were in the Operating Room (you have to deliver in the OR with twins just in case of complications) and getting ready to meet our little babies! Newman had me push around 9 times and all of a sudden our baby boy Beckham came out face up crying! They layed him on my stomach for a few seconds and then took him away to get him cleaned. His cry was so cute! Clark went over to take pictures while I was getting ready to push our next baby out. Next, Newman had me do the same amount of pushes to get her out. He had to break her water by that point. He pulled her out and she came out crying. He layed her on my chest and of course I made a grossed out face because they are so coated in gunk. It was pretty funny though.

Clark did an amazing job and was surprisingly calm. I'm so glad he was there by my side. We finished on up and took some pictures with our new babies!

35 weeks

I have hit 35 weeks today and I couldn't be more happy. I hope I only have one more week to go. This pregnancy has gone by too fast but I will not complain. I've loved being pregnant but I can assure you I am ready not to be pregnant. My stomach just continues to grow and I don't know when it will stop! I am still getting up every 2-3 hours at night to use the bathroom... Thank goodness for the body pillow I bought a few months ago, it has been a life saver for my back and ever growing stomach. There is no way I would be comfortable without it.

Today I noticed that if I am on my feet a lot, they start to swell. It took 35 weeks for that to happen so I won't complain!

These babies continue to move and kick all day. Their feet are pushed up against my ribs. There is always some body part moving across my stomach and most of the time it is the girl's body. The boy's head is so squished and has settled in my pelvic bone which makes it so uncomfortable to walk and stand up.

This week it hit me that I could most likely see these babies and hold them in my arms in a week. I feel an overwhelming love for them that I know will get stronger once I see them in person. I feel so blessed that the Lord has given me two child to take care of. I hope they grow up to love one another and to love their parents :) They have been such a joy to carry for the last 9 months and it kind of saddens me that it will all be ending soon. I look forward to the many joyous years ahead for all of us as a family!

Water Taxi

On Wednesday, the Grays and the Schneiders headed to Fort Lauderdale to catch a ride on the Water Taxi! The Water Taxi goes along the coast of Fort Lauderdale where you can get off at stops to eat and drink, go to the beach, or visit local attractions. We got off at stop 7 and ate at some really good buger place and then headed back to stop 1. During the boat ride you are surrounded by HUGE yachts and well known people's mansions!

Co-Founder of Microsoft's yacht with a helicopter on top. Oh and this is only one out of three yachts he has! He also employs on this yacht 58 ex navy seals! Thats a big boat!

Meeting the Redds

A few weeks ago our really great friends that we met in Singapore came to Florida to go on a cruise! They recently moved back to the US. Well it so happened that there cruise port was the next city over from us! We love the Redds and we were really excited to hang out with them for a few hours. Also, when we met Sarah and Jeremy, they were pregnant with their boy Crew but Clark and I moved back to the US just a few months before he was born! BUMMER! So now Crew is almost 2 and we finally got to meet him! He is a little CUTIE!

We can't wait to see them again!

Well folks I am 24! It seemed like I was 23 for FOREVER...I mean I guess I was for only a year but still! My birthday was great and I had so many friends wishing me well! Thank you! My birthday kinda crept up on me this year but none the less, I had a great day! My awesome husband made me the oreo pudding truffle I requested. It was TASTY!

I spent the day going to look for some kid clothes, eating at McDonald's for lunch with Clark, and then treating myself to a pedi! The rest of the day was spent resting until we headed out to dinner at Carrabba's! The food was yummy and I really did feel special! I can't wait to spend the rest of my birthdays with my new family!

33 weeks

I can't believe that I am 33 weeks along! That means Clark and I get to meet our babies in (HOPEFULLY) 4 weeks! This pregnancy has really gone by super fast for me. Clark mentioned today that its recently seemed to go by really slow for him.

We had an interesting week awhile ago when I was sent to the hospital for contractions. They were not painful contractions,just a tightening. I've been doing really good since leaving the hospital so I hope I won't have to go back until I am ready to deliver. I've been told to take it easy and to be on bed rest but its a modified. I still try and lay low but if I need to get out, I can.

I'm to the point where I just want these babies out! I mean I can def. wait though till its time. I'm not totally miserable but wobbling and going to the bathroom constantly has just done me over. I just need to enjoy these last few weeks of having Clark and Jenna time because it won't be like this ever again.

I got a pedi the other day and the lady doing it told me my feet look great! Haha! That was nice to hear! I haven't experienced any swelling yet but I'm just sure that it will happen sooner than later!

A few weeks ago I went to the perinatologist and the tech showed me that our babies indeed have some hair on their heads! From the pictures it looks like alot which I would be so happy for! I guess we will see when they arrive!

On Monday, my wonderful friend Rachel, took some maternity pictures for me! She did such a GREAT job! She is seriously so talented! I went into the hospital because of contractions on Tuesday so I am so happy we already had the pictures done!

Hospital Stay

Oh I was hoping it wasn't going to come to this until I was indeed ready to deliver. I went to my 31week perinatologist appointment today and everything looked fine on the screen and then I got strapped to the fetal monitor and wow was I having contractions. I couldn't feel them. Apparently since my last week visit, I have been having some braxton hicks contractions pretty regularly...like 4+ an hour. I guess I should have called my doc!

Well the perinatologist told me to head straight over the hospital and check myself in and that I would be there over night. Clark came and has been here ever since. What a sweet heart :) I was hooked up to an IV. I got a steroid shot in my bum so the babies lungs can develop a little quicker. I was still having contractions 2-3 mins apart so they gave me a shot called tribudaline so my muscles including my cervix could relax. The contractions then were about 4-5mins so I got another shot. Finally they started to be about 10 mins apart so I got one more shot. No more shots until tomorrow morning when I get the steroid shot in my bum again. Good thing needles and shots don't bother me too much. I just dont want to be nauseous!

An OB from my practice came and checked me and my cervix is closed! Good! Stay that way please!!!

I just took a pill called procardia. It is used to treat high blood pressure and to control chest pain. It works by relaxing the blood vessels so the heart does not have to pump as hard. It also increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart. It can be used during pre-term labor too.

I FINALLY just ate too. I hadn't eaten since 8:30am...hospital food never sounded so good.

I hope to be able to go home tomorrow around 3:00pm. I'm guessing I will be on bed rest though...Good thing I already had my baby shower and took my maternity pics yesterday!

Now for some GOOD NEWS! Our babies are still head down and the ultra sound tech showed me that they have hair on their head! It was pretty cool too see!

I've never stayed at a hospital over night so good luck to meeeee! Thanks for all those who have showed love and support :) Let's hope they stay in there until 36-37 weeks!

Baby Shower

Oh I can't say enough about this past weekend! It was a BLAST! I had my baby shower on Saturday and my family was able to come into town! They have not visited the Boca area before so it was nice to have them here! My mom should be back in a few weeks once these babies are born though.

My sweet sister in law, Kristin, hosted my baby shower and she did an AMAZING job. She is really talented and has so many fun ideas. The theme for the shower was "Thing 1, Thing 2" from Dr. Seuss. The colors were red and white with some hint of blue. It wasn't too whimsical which was nice. Everyone loved the invitation, food and creative decorations Kristin made!

I received some great gifts and everyone was very generous considering we are having two babies. It was crazy to think that it was my turn to have a shower this time! I still need quite a few things I registered for so off to the store I go this week and next.

My in laws were great! They had everything under control and I seriously didn't have to do anything but show up (well walk down the stairs since it was at the house I am at!) They are the best! My friend Danielle from Tampa even drove down to see me! How sweet of her!

29 weeks

I've started going to the perinatologist every week now and that means more pictures to share! At my last appointment, which was yesterday, the babies were looking great! Baby Boy is still upside down and snugged way down there while Baby Girl is still breech! This time around the babies were both kicking each other and it was fun to watch on the screen while it was happening. They will check the babies weights next week. Baby Boy was learning how to breath in the womb as his stomach was going up and down. We couldn't see Baby Girl doing it this time but we did see her open and close her eyes a lot! I then got strapped to the fetal monitor where they said the babies heart beats were great and that I was was having NO contractions! Sweet! I hope it stays that way! Every week these babies get so much more active, I can't believe it. Half the time their limbs are sticking out and moving across my stomach. Sleeping has become a little more uncomfortable but I think I can last 8 more weeks until I hit 37 weeks. The perinatologist said let's try and get to the next big mile stone...34 weeks!

Today I had an appointment with my perinatologist to check up on the babies! I love these appointments because I get to see them squiggle all over the screen! We looked at the kidneys, hearts, bladder, flow of blood in the cord, placenta, amniotic fluid, arms, legs and much more! This time our baby boy was head down and facing straight up. We were able to get one okay picture of him (kind of reminds me of his dad who hates taking pictures). The baby girl was breech and we got tons of great pictures of her! These babies have really grown over the last 4 weeks. They have more fat on their bodies and the pictures really show it! Baby Girl weighs 2 lbs 1 oz and Baby Boy weighs 2 lbs 7 oz. Everything is looking good and I have had no contractions except for the Braxton Hicks. After the appointment my stomach was strapped to the heart rate monitors for 40 mins so they could monitor the babies hearts and check for any contractions. My doctor said everything looked perfect but he wants to see me every week now to check the heart rates, contractions, and the babies weights.

This was me minus the HUGE machine and hospital bed.

I feel so blessed to have made it this far without any complications. I hope this continues. I also feel so blessed for being given two children. I know it will be tough and it will get overwhelming but this is what I wanted! I prayed so hard to get pregnant after our miscarriage in July of 2009. I know the Lord hears our prayers and gives us what we can handle at the exact moment that He feels is right for us.

27 weeks

I thought it was time to do another prego photo since I was already dolled up for the day. I am 27 weeks and I only have 10 more weeks to go! If I make it to my 37 week due date these babies will hatch the day before Easter. These last few weeks haven't been too bad. It just started to get a little more uncomfortable sleeping and flopping this belly from side to side at night isn't getting any easier! Today was the first day I felt the babies really move themselves from the positions they were in. I have felt them move and kick before but today it was a full on MOVE. When people ask how I have been doing I say just fine because I really have been. I've been super blessed through this pregnancy with not having any complications. I hope it continues to stay this way! I've managed to only gain 23 lbs so far and I hope to keep the weight gain pretty steady. I go to my perinatologist next week and they will start to monitor contractions and all that fun stuff. I started this past week to really have the braxton hicks and it is NOT fun.

Clark and I have yet to agree on two names and that is fine. As long as we can before I have the babies. We start our labor and delivery class this week and take our hospital tour on the 25th. I am pretty excited about that! My sweet sister in law Kristin is throwing my baby shower in a few weeks and I am super excited! She has tons of cute ideas! It feels weird that now it will be my turn to have one! Crazy!

24 weeks

Today we had our 24 week appointment with our perinatologist. The ultrasound tech did an extensive checkup on the babies genitals this time. Everything looked great! We were able to hear the heartbeats and see them move all over the screen for a good hour. I found out the boy is the one who has been kicking me in my upper stomach these past few weeks. He was head down and our baby girl was head up. It was cute because when the tech did some 3D pictures, the girl's butt was smashed up against her baby brother's head. Measurement wise, they both are about a half an inch bigger than a dollar bill. Baby Boy weighs 1 lb 8 oz and Baby Girl weighs 1 lb 3 oz. They were both pretty calm during the appointment and the girl was a little camera shy at first. Once we left they started kicking me again!

The top picture is of Baby Boy. He wasn't really cooperating with us but we managed to get a view of his squished face.

Baby Girl finally turned so we got a better picture of her this time! Yup, she has my nose!

I kind of dread taking pictures now because I know I am getting bigger everywhere. I've apparently gained 20 lbs so far in this pregnancy. I feel great other than getting up every night to go to the bathroom and not being able to get back to sleep that easy. Hence the bags under the eyes. I've also been feeling a little more pressure/soreness in my lower half but something has to support these babies! Oh and food wise...haha don't ask how many slices of pizza I had last night... :)

We are still so excited to meet our babies! If I make it to 37 weeks, then I only have 13 more weeks left! This pregnancy has sure gone by fast!

Chop Chop

So my hair is getting to the point where its just BLAH. The split ends are annoying and drying my hair takes way too long. I'm not going for a mom cut just yet but I have scheduled to get my hair cut this Wednesday like this...I think. I'm not going this short but it will be about 3-4 below my shoulders.

I'm a little nervous about swelling and so forth in the face during this pregnancy and with this hair cut I could look a little too round...Oh well, it is what it is!

Orlando Temple

Last Friday the Gray family had the opportunity to visit the Orlando Temple and participate in a session. It was our church's Stake Temple Day and I am glad that we lived some what close (3 hours) to attend! In the next year we will be having a LDS Temple built in Fort Lauderdale! That will only be 25 mins away! I feel so blessed to be apart of this church and know that I will live with my family for all eternity.

I am over half way there! Every week that goes by I get more excited! I just never thought I would get here and I have. My stomach is growing and growing and I can feel little baby flutters now. I know they will be more present in the next weeks so I look forward to that! My convenient store next to my bed has some what not been open for a while, its more of a water fountain right now. I love not having to get up and eat something in the middle of the night!

Other then trying to find out what crib bedding I want for the kiddos nothing much has happened. I found a really cute bedding set at Pottery Barn Kids that I want to get for our girl and then a fun boy design on Carousel Designs. I am going for a bird, owl, forest theme... what do you think?

So we'll see what I end up doing!

Craft Night

Last night we had a few girls come over to have a craft night! We all brought things we wanted to work on that have been on our mind for some time! This is what I made:

20 weeks

I am around 20 weeks now! Yay! We are half way there and I am really happy with the way things are going right now. My stomach is growing bigger by the day and sometimes I feel like it can't stretch any further! My back has been hurting as I sleep so I went out and purchased a Leach Snoogle Body Pillow tonight. The reviews on it are amazing so I hope my results are just as good. Other than my back hurting every night, I am doing pretty well. I am eating normally now as I was before I got pregnant so bring on the weight... ;)

Today we had our 20 week appointment at our perinatologist and I was really anxious to see our little babies. They are both doing great and growing on schedule. Every finger and toe are still there and their hearts looks healthy. The boy weighs 11 ounces and the girl weighs 10 ounces. Those little twiners were head butting the whole time and were turned down. We did get some great pictures today! My tech was nice enough to show us what the 3D looks like and she gave us some pictures to take home!

Baby Girl is the top picture. She was face down just about the whole time so this was the best profile picture we could get of her. Clark says her nose is a hybrid of mine and his. She is even smiling at us! What a little cutie!

Baby Boy is the bottom picture and he definitely has my nose! We think he might have Clark's lips. Baby boy was facing up the whole time so we were able to get more pictures of him this week.

This is a picture of our girl's bum, legs, and feet. Clark says she has his cute bum...oh geez haha.

I believe I have been feeling them move just a little. Most likely in the next few weeks the movements will be more noticeable. We see our OBGYN next week so I am excited to see our babies on the screen again! Seeing the babies in 3D really did make my heart melt and made me fall more in love with them. I can't wait to meet them!

Christmas 2010

I had such a great time on Christmas day spending time with the Gray family! All 9 of us opened presents and relaxed all day! We had a great ham and turkey dinner that night as well.

Clark received clothes and golfing gear and I got some clothes and a cool alarm clock I have been wanting. I am still waiting for Clark's present... ;)

Fabric Pom Pom Flower Headband

I am so proud of myself! I saw this tutorial online HERE and it showed me how to a make a fabric flower headband and it is super cute! I am going to make tons (okay maybe not tons because it can be time consuming) for our little baby girl! I was saving this for a craft night with some girlfriends but I had to make one just to make sure I was talented enough to do it first! I look forward to making more and also making a flower bib necklace found HERE!

Thanksgiving in Georgia

For Thanksgiving this year Clark and I went to Georgia! I always love visiting home and seeing all my relatives! The food and company was great! We had it at my parent's home this year since my grandma has been sick and we didn't want her to feel like she had to slave in the kitchen all day! My cousin Lydia was so nice and took some family pictures for us! The last real family picture we had was at our wedding. We have all changed a little since then but we still love each other which is whats important!

Twin Gender Unveiling

I have been waiting for this day forever! On Thursday Clark and I had our first appointment with our perinatologist who specializes in multiples and high risk pregnancies. I was around 16.5 weeks and they were going to do a pretty extensive ultrasound and take measurements of the twins and make sure everything was looking normal. Well the appointment took around 2 hours (1 hour for each twin) and I enjoyed EVERY minute of it! I think I need to buy my own ultrasound machine! The twins were waving and head butting one another. When it came time for the tech to check the genders, we turned our heads because we didn't want to know at that moment. We wanted to wait until Friday night when our friends and family were there with us to unveil the genders! So after our appointment we had to wait 24 hours until we could know the genders! The results were in an envelope that was sealed. Later that night Vicki (my very sweet mother-in-law) and I went to build-a bear to create some teddy bears! We picked out the boy and girl outfits we wanted to use depending on the results. We handed the associate the envelope and said to dress and package the bears and to NOT let us see! They were so giddy and so excited that they were part of it. So the bags of bears were sitting in our room and man was it some what tempting to peek!!!

Friday night we had some friends come over for a bear-b-que (Clark's name idea) so we could eat and unveil the bears! Here is what happened:

We were both thrilled that we got one of each! I really wanted at least one girl! Clark and I both had thought they were a boy and a girl and I guess we were right! Now we can start talking names and pick out some outfits!

Well here I am at 17 weeks! I am getting bigger despite what people think! I am so excited to see a baby belly forming! My appetite is better than a few weeks ago. I can eat about a whole meal now! I need to start exercising moderately for the next few weeks before it gets too uncomfortable. I can now make it through some nights without eating and going to the bathroom! SWEET! This only happens occasionally unfortunately. My mood is great (despite what Clark may say!!) and I feel more connected to our little twins now that I know the genders! I bought a few maternity jeans and shirts for a great deal so I look forward to wearing them! Okay maybe not the jeans, even though they are pretty cute!

15.5 Weeks

We're getting up there! I have almost hit my half way point! Lets hope I make it to 37+ weeks! I feel great and I have for the last few weeks. I still don;t have any cravings but I do LOVE eating fruit. I can still only eat half of my meals but eat again 2 hrs later. I don't think I have felt the babies move yet but who knows...hopefully in the next few weeks I will be able to. Clark and I go in next Thursday to our perinatologist(specializes in multiples and high risk pregnancies). We hope to be able to find out the genders of both babies that day! We have names we like but we haven't really discussed names much as we would rather wait and find out and then discuss. Feels kinda pointless to us. I am not quite sure how I want to find out the genders...do I want the tech to put it in an envelope and then we wait to open it with everyone, do we find out right then? I want to do something creative but I feel like I have no brain power some days. I do find myself forgetting the easiest words known to man. Oh brother. I am sure this won't go away anytime soon. I can still fit in my regular clothes which is great! Looks like I will need a some type of bella band to hold up my pants soon...any suggestions? We look forward to meeting our little babies!

Harris' come to visit!

This past weekend, the Harris' came to visit us! This time they brought their new baby girl Lila! Last time they were here, Danielle was on bed rest with still a few more months to go. I was so excited to see them and hold baby Lila. Chris had to teach for a few hours on Saturday so Danielle, Lila and I went and did a little shopping at some local shops. Later that day we attended my niece's first birthday and then finished the night off with dinner at Pizza Time! Yum! We can't wait until they come and visit again!

Layla's First Birthday

Last week we celebrated my niece Layla's 1st birthday! I can not believe she is already one! Her mom and dad and aunt Kristin did a great job with her invitations, decorations and food at the party. Layla received tons of cute gifts and her Grandma out in Utah was able to join us via Skype! Melanie made Layla the dress she is wearing just for her birthday and she did such a great job! We love you Layla!

Today is Clark's 29th birthday! I am so happy for him to get his birthday present...I hope he likes it! I just love love love Clark and he has made me so happy over these last 4 years! He is sweet, funny, caring, practical, smart, goofy, loving, hot, and spiritual. Yes, I could go on forever but I will spare you guys! He is such a blessing to me and I am so glad he is mine! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!

Also, this morning we had a doctor's appointment where we got to see the twins! I love going to the doctors and seeing our growing babies. I am 13.5 weeks and almost through my FIRST trimester! I feel so blessed to have made it this far. Today the twins were floating around and had their hands by their faces. I swear one was sucking his thumb but I couldn't tell. We were only able to get a really good picture of the baby on the left so hopefully next time (Dec. 2nd) we'll get some better pics of both of them. I am looking forward to Dec. 2 because we should be able to find out the gender of the twins. Again I hope for a boy and girl but I think we are getting 2 girls! I don't have this whole mother intuition thing going on so these are just guesses! We'll be happy with whatever we get :)

12.5 weeks- Gray Babies

Today I am 12.5 weeks pregnant and my belly has grown just a little bit more! It makes me so happy because it means they are growing! I am still eating just about the same...small servings...but I tend to eat every two hours so I know the babies are getting some nutrients! Its quite funny but my husband just laughs at me because on my night stand I have what he calls a "convenient store!" I wake up just about every night and go to the bathroom and then my stomach says...oh wait before you go back to bed you need to eat something! It stinks because then I can't get back to sleep for about an hour. I remember the first night I ate in bed...it was around 2am and I was starving and not feeling good so I was hoping I had something in my purse upstairs. I remembered I had pretzels so I started munching on them quite softly and Clark turned to me and said "are you EATING?" Hahahahaha we both just laughed because it was quite hilarious. Since then, he has gotten used to it.

Does anyone have any suggestions to fight hunger through the night? I guess I could eat a little more right before I go to bed. I probably should stop drinking water right before bed...that would help. Overall I am feeling good and am patiently waiting until next week when we have our 13.5 week appointment! Also, I just noticed, if you click on the numbers on my baby ticker, it will change and show you how many days I have left, how many weeks I am, and how many days it has been! Pretty cool!

11 weeks- Gray Babies

Last week I hit the 11 week mark. I totally picked the wrong shirt to wear for a prego picture but I will try and do better next time! Also, we were in the midst of packing Clark's parents home in Chicago last week and this is about the only day I got dressed up! I have felt quite good so far and I think (hope) that my nauseousness won't come back. I just need to make sure I eat so my tummy stays some what full. I really try and eat but I can only eat half my meals because I get so full quickly. I lost 4 pounds last month but that was due to not being able to eat! I gained 1 of those pounds back! I swear I have a little belly bump/pudge and its been a little more present this week at my 12 week mark. Our next appointment is on the 10th on Clark's birthday and hopefully we will be able to hear their heartbeats! My due date was May 19th but then it was moved to May 14th. Most likely I will deliver end of April. Hopefully later than sooner!

When we got back from Chicago we had a package from our friends Kate and Lehi in Singapore! Look how cute this twin gift is! They know us so well! THANK YOU!!

Clark's 10 yr HS Reunion

This past week we headed to Chicago for Clark's 10 yr HS reunion. Out of 700 students, 200 went. I only knew one person there but Clark seemed to enjoy his time so I just smiled. Looks like he'll have fun at mine in 5 years! This is the only picture we took that night. We had the reunion at Heritage Farms...I think.

We're Doubling!

I can't even tell you how excited I am that we are expanding our family! Clark and I have been trying for over a year to have kids and the time finally came for us. I haven't talked about this to most people but last year we had a miscarriage around 7.5 weeks but I didn't find out until 11 weeks because I never passed anything. I had surgery to get everything removed and ever since my hormones have been out of whack! I have truly learned patience this year and having to rely on the Lord to soften my heart and just wait for our time.

I found out at 4 weeks that I was pregnant and when Clark and I saw the positive we were SO happy. I just cried and cried of joy. I was surprised we found out so early! I was just hoping that I would be able to keep this baby! I had my first ultrasound appointment at 6 weeks. Clark couldn't go with me because he had a McDonald's class he had to go to. While in the room I was looking on the screen and I swear I saw two sacs but I wasn't sure. I have read and looked at so many pregnancy things that I thought I knew what I saw. My doctor showed me the first heart beat and then he said "and here is the other!" WHAT! We were having TWINS! I was stunned but not too surprised or scared because I have secretly always wanted twins! I left the appointment and went to purchase two white onsies to surprise Clark and the family. Clark over the recent weeks had told me he just knew we were having twins. So when he called and asked how my appointment went I just said no twins and said I'll see him when he got home. Clark and his family opened the gift with the two onsies and everyone about fell over! It was GREAT! My mom didn't even believe that we were expecting two!

I was pretty nauseous week 7 & 8 but I have felt better since and have been able to eat frequently and keep things down! I have been pretty lucky! Hopefully it stays that way! I've had 3 ultrasound appointments since...one at 6, 8, and 10 weeks. Our next appointment at 13 weeks is on Clark's birthday Nov. 10th so hopefully we can hear the heartbeats then. Today the little twins were moving and kicking and waving! It was way cute! The twins will be fraternal and we are hoping for one boy and girl but we will be happy with what ever we get!

I hope everything will go fine! We will find out beginning of December what the sexes are. Please keep us in your prayers :) WE ARE SO HAPPY AND GRATEFUL!!!!

Del Ray and Deerfield Beach

This past weekend the Gray and Dyer family headed to Del Ray Beach for dinner. Later we took a walk to the beach! There were beach lounge chairs to sit on and the breeze was amazing. Vicki helped her nieces find some seashells on the beach and I of course pulled out my camera!

The next day we headed to Deerfield beach to catch some rays and play in the ocean. I had never been to that beach before but I loved it! We spent time collecting shells with our cousins and Clark and his uncle went snorkeling.

I spent some time in my hometown of Roswell, Ga last week and hung out with my besties for a night! I love that they all still live in Roswell...well minus me!

We went to dinner at Provinos and caught up on some good ole' times. I hadn't seen my friend Jessica since my wedding 4 years ago! She still looks the same and is beautiful!

The last time I saw Lizanne was 2 years ago when Clark and I were in Paris for a month and she was living in Spain for school. She flew to Paris to see us and we had such a great time!

It has been over a year since I have seen Maggie! I saw her last when I was back in Roswell some time ago...I can't even remember!

All in all we had a great time and I hope to see them sooner than later!

Fun Festivities with the Grays

This is long over do but I finally plugged in my camera to my computer! Kristin and Mike came into town for 2 weeks back in September to hang out before they officially move here at the end of October! While they were here we went to South Beach right after dinner. It was so peaceful and there was a great breeze!

We also surprised my brother in law Chad for his 31st birthday and had a Fiesta Party! He had no clue and Melanie, his wife, did a great job planning it!

Sorry for the lack of blogging! I get so lazy to get my camera out and plug it into the computer! I have a few things to catch up on and blog about but for now I am in Douglas, GA where my relatives live! I am taking a break for a week to see the family and my dog!! I missed him so much! I wish I could bring him back with me! Here is a picture of us! Sorry about the quality but that's what you get with a computer camera!

Oh and sorry if you are about to go to lunch but I thought I would share that last night when my dad and I were driving down to Douglas something hit our car and we didn't quite know what it was until we pulled into town 30 mins later to find out this was stuck in my dads front headlight...hopefully it wont cost too much to repair!
