Just a little obsessed

I have become a little obsessed lately with trying to think of new items to add to my Etsy shop. I decided would try and make some more jewelry items and I ended up coming up with the single strand stone bead necklaces. I guess I am allowed to be obsessed because it's something I am passionate about! If you have time, take a look around HERE and let me know what you like! It's always great to get feedback because then I know what people will buy :)

I love the color combo mixed with the different textures.

My BF Snooki

So you know those days when both your kids are sick and you get thrown up on? And your cute boy is leaning over the toilet looking like a throw up champ. And you are bathing both whiny kids so fast before one blows chunks again. And your hubby decides to go with the boys to a baseball game 3 hours away and doesn't tell you until the very last minute possible he thinks you won't get mad...

Well, I am happy to say we made it through the day and the kids are in bed {sigh} and now I can enjoy my new BF Snooki while it rains outside my window.

Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark

OH.MY.WORD

This was unbelievably good! So easy to make...and might I add a great gift to give for the holidays coming up!

If you would like to partake in this yummy goodness too, check out the recipe below!

Ingredients:
  • ½  bag of mini pretzel twists
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 bag of chocolate chips
  • Sea salt or table salt
Directions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  • Then line a large jelly roll pan with aluminum foil and lay a single layer of pretzels down.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and the brown sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Let it boil gently just until it starts to stick to the bottom and it forms a nice smooth caramel. You’ll want to let it bubble a little and get really thick.
  • Remove from heat and pour evenly over the top of the pretzels (don’t worry if every single pretzel isn’t covered). Put in the oven at 350 degrees for five minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top. You can let the caramel melt the chips, but I prefer to put it back in the oven for one minute.
  • Spread the chocolate chips around with a spatula until mostly melted.
  • Sprinkle generously with salt. If you use sea salt smash it a bit to make the salt smaller and sprinkle just a LITTLE bit or else your bark will be TOO salty! YUCK!
  • Let cool on the counter top for a few minutes and then pop in the freezer for at least two to three hours.
  • When it comes out of the freezer, break it up into uneven chunks with your hands and serve.
Quick tip: I found it tastes best when right out of the freezer. It will start to melt after sitting on the counter top for more than a few minutes.

Labor Day Fun

For Labor Day we got out of the house and headed to the beach! This is the second time for the kids to go but the first time as our whole family :) Let's just say it was a lot easier with Clark there this time around!

Brooklyn liked the water this time and Beckham decided to take a little snooze in his float for a couple minutes.

We also enjoyed a company party at the bowling alley! The kids were wanting to get into everything and play with all the bowling balls. Needless to say, after 3 games, we left! But I did beat Clark at one of them!

Happy Labor Day!

Ikea Toys

Okay, moms I need to know where you get your fun but affordable toys! I was at Ikea today and bought this train set for our kids and they really like it! They are obviously still in #figureitoutmode. I feel kids need new toys every once in awhile to change the pace of things so they don't get whiny and bored. Maybe that just happens to my kids???

Any helpful comments are appreciated :) Happy weekend!

McDonald's Re-Grand Opening

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to take part of the Re-Grand Opening of one of our McDonald stores. The store got a totally renovation inside and out and even sported a double drive-thru. There was face painting, a balloon maker, a pony, and even Ronald McDonald himself!

The twins enjoyed Ronald and his little magic tricks as well as the pony that was there.

We have two more McDonald renovations in the near future so we are excited to see what they will look like when they are complete.

Blogging Beckham style

The kids always want to sit with me when I am on the computer trying to get some things done. Maybe next time they will think twice...I think he is bored...haha

6yr Anniversary

Then

and

now

I still can't wrap my mind around being married for 6 years. Time sure does fly when you are moving 4 times, buy 2 houses, live in 2 different countries, and have 2 kids! Clark and I headed out for a dinner date at Carrabba's tonight kid less. It was really nice to have an adult conversation and not worry about when your kid was going to throw a fit. I'm so happy I made the decision 6 years ago to start a family with this man. He loves me no matter what! I love you Clark!
