Party likes its your Birthday!

Yesterday was my 23rd birthday! Wow, I am slowly getting old! Clark took me to a really nice steak restaurant in Tampa called Capital Grille. My steak was amazing and our mint lemonade was DIVINE! We even got a free birthday dessert so I picked the cheesecake with fresh assorted berries! YUM! We had to get that to go because we were soooo full but we ate it later while watching a movie on the ole couch! Thanks hunny for a GRAYT bday!

Boca Weekend

This past weekend Clark and I headed down to Boca for some fun with the Gray family! Kirk, Clark's brother, was down for Spring Break so we spent one day going to the beach! The weather was perfect-sunny and a little breeze! We even got a little tan! Woo hoo! We then headed to Kilwin's Ice Cream shop down the Boca strip and we each got our own scoop. Mine was the Banana Fudge and it tasted just like the chocolate and banana dippin dots! Divine. We can't wait to go down there next month again!

Strawberry Festival 2010

Today Clark and I headed to Plant City to check out the Strawberry Festival that comes once a year in March. We have lived here for almost 3 years and we have never been! We had a blast walking around, enjoying the sunny weather, and eating all the yummy treats! We would have gone on the rides but we were so full! I think if we had some kids too that would have pushed us to go!

Time Out for Women-Orlando 2010

This weekend a group of us girls from church headed to Orlando for the Time Out for Women conference. What a great way to get out of the house and hang with the girls and receive a spiritual message all at once! The messages presented by the speakers were amazing and the topics centered around hope. The choice of our attitudes can help determine the outcome of our trials or "strengthening opportunities." There were so many personal experiences shared and you couldn't help but feel the spirit and know that the Lord is always there watching over us. The weekend went by very fast but we enjoyed eating out at Benihanas Friday night and grabbing lunch at the nearest McDonald's during lunch break! :)

Oh the things we do...

Today was the day that Mac got neutered. I took away his manhood but it will def. cause less stress on me! Hopefully this whole dominating marking thing will go away soon. We also got him micro-chipped which makes me feel more comfortable if he gets lost. Sorry for Mac spreading his legs but I guess its whats most comfortable!

If you have a minute...

A friend of mine is helping a member of our church in Singapore who has a daughter living in the DC area who is trying to get funding from the government for a program to help kids in poor neighborhoods and unstable families. Her idea is to pair disadvantaged children with volunteer families who then have the child over for family dinner once a week for a year--allowing the child to observe a stable, functioning, two parent household, interact with people from different social/cultural backgrounds, and improve communication and social skills. It benefits the volunteer family by helping them spend time together as a family and engage in service without interfering with the busy schedules. She has submitted the idea to "Ideas for Change" and in order to make it to the next round she needs our votes. I thought it was a wonderful idea and gave my vote. If you also like the idea and want to vote OR if you want to read more, go to Restore Two-Parent Family Norms in Inner-City Neighborhoods.

I also have a widget posted on the side of my blog so you can vote there as well as copy it and put it on your blog, web page, etc...

Valentines Weekend

This past weekend Clark and I headed down to Boca to visit Clark's family! Clark's brother Kirk flew in because of the long weekend and it was great to see him! We also saw our niece Layla who is growing bigger and bigger every time we see her!

We had the chance to view the house that Clark's parents bought! It is so nice and we can't wait to spend time at their home once they move in!

Lastly we got to enjoy Valentines day on Sunday! I received a wonderful bouquet of flowers from Clark. I loved them! He is an amazing husband that loves me regardless :)

I hope that you enjoyed your Valentines weekend too!

I'm Back!

Wow, those two weeks in Singapore went by so fast! I must say I am glad to be back though! I really did enjoy my two weeks there with my team as well as seeing old friends and eating all the yummy food we left behind!

Clark was a good sport and called me everyday! I think he missed me :) Also, he went out to eat everyday for dinner. I guess he missed my cooking (or he finally had a chance to eat something new for a change!!).

I did really good about the whole jetlag thing when I arrived in Singapore and I have done really good adjusting as I am back home. I has some good times and bad times on the plane 1) I did get three empty seats next to me when I was flying out to Singapore which means I got to lay down and my knees didn't cramp, but the bad thing was the tvs didn't work! 14 hours without any entertainment provided by the airline was HORRIBLE. In the end I was either given a $150 voucher (should have been given more!) or an additional 7,000 miles added to my mileage account. I took the voucher because any upgrade now in days requires you to cash in your miles and also pay an additional $450....no thanks! Give me my free ticket please! I really didn't get to venture around Singapore because I was working non stop, even on weekends. I did however get to see everyone I had planned on seeing (besides Sarah and her new baby who happened to fly back to the States the same day I was flying to Singapore!!!) and eat at my old food places which was awesome!

The condo I got to stay at.

Yummy Chicken wings and pork fried dumplings!

Mr Wongs Noodles

Lehi, Kate, Jeremy, and Me!

Majana and Carmen took me to Steamboat and Uncle Tom's Palette (ice cream)

Chelsea, Dixon and their new baby boy Desmond!

Clark's favorite phrase-Happy New Year!

Philippa and I eating Prawn Mee

Michael's Birthday!

Lastly, our team went to Indonesia to work/play at Bintan Lagoon Resort. This is the resort we own!

Heading out to Singapore

On Sunday I head back to Singapore for 2 weeks! As some of you know, I brought my job back from Singapore as a Marketing Consultant for an investment firm. I get the luxury of working from home. I get to travel back at least once a year to see everyone and get on the same page. I'm really excited to see all the people I work with and also see the friends we left behind. Clark will not be going with me this time so I am kinda nervous traveling the whole 23 hours by myself! I look forward to eating all the YUMMY food Singapore has to offer and visiting all our friends but I am NOT looking forward to the HOT HUMID weather. Looks like I will have to bring my short heeled shoes cause I'll be walking...EVERYWHERE. This should be fun!

Avatar Adventure

Last night we headed to the Imax theatre to watch Avatar in 3D. We went with our good friends Chris and Danielle. To make our night a little adventurous, Chris said "No guys, this is the way to the Imax. The movie is in this room."
I had said that the man told us room 8 but Mr. Chris had total control of the situation ;) So we are sitting in the movie, which started its previews 20 mins early and we are thinking okay well at least the movie will start right on time...
We sit through the previews and all of a sudden one is taking a little longer than usual, and we couldn't really tell if the movie was in 3D...so what does Chris do "Um guys, I think we are in the wrong room. This isn't the right movie. We gotta leave."
So we head outof the movie the Book of Eli with our glasses on our head into the RIGHT movie in room 8.

We really enjoyed the movie and def. recommend watching it in 3D at the Imax. Enjoy the pic!
