Full Day Job

Literally from 9-6pm Clark and I put down our wood floors. I think I won't be able to get out of bed tomorrow morning! The floors look AMAZING! Too bad it looks like we didn't get much done today but we put down around 38 rows...only 94570394 more to go! Good thing tomorrow is Sunday and its the day of "rest!" Well we are off to Carabbas for a well deserved dinner! mmm!

The 1st Strip

So after 2 hours...we have the first strip down! I believe this is one of the most important steps so I think it should go faster by tomorrow!

Demo Day 1

Today we started to tear apart our front room and hallway floor. The carpet came up really easy and so did the tile! It was amazing how much we (okay mostly Clark) got done in 2 hours. I did get the hang of getting the wood and nails out of the concrete! Tonight we are going to start laying some wood so more pictures to come!

Clark and I decided it was time to get rid of the carpet and put in wood floors! We got a little push from our friends who just got their floors done in Bamboo. It looks amazing! So we headed over to Floor and Decor, which is having a great sale, and picked out some nice oak floors. The funny part is that I took Clark to the workshop on how to install floors so I hope he learned enough to do ours! We are only doing the front two rooms and the hallway so lets hope this gets done in less than a month!

Douglas Weekend

So basically last weekend was pretty chill...I mean we really didn't do much except help my brother Josh set up his place in Douglas and go to Walmart like 5 times in one day to exchange house crap...Oh wait, I had the "great" opportunity to take off the old nasty toilet seats in Josh's place and replace them with nice clean new ones! Its actaully pretty simple, just really GROSS!

On Saturday night we headed to Flyin Cowboys to eat some good ole BBQ food. After your meal you get to go to the ice cream counter and get a complimentary cone! woo hoo for free stuff! Douglas is a very small town...I mean really small so it was great to see a new restaurant come into town. Well the real reason to go to Douglas was to see my cousin Blake who just got back from his mission but yeah Saturday morning we were informed that Blake had gone with the youth group to the Atlanta Temple for baptisms...yeah ATL is 4 hours away! THANKS! :p Anyway, we did get to see him that night and at church the next morning so our trip wasn't for nothin. Sorry, but I didn't take a lot of pictures...just ones of my cousin Mya, Blake's little sister.

Sprucin Up and Headin Out

So after looking and looking for something to put between our two front rooms to make it look some what separated...we found something! The pictures don't do it justice because it actually looks really good! They were even on sale! Sweeeeet!

We head out to Douglas, Georgia tomorrow to see the whole family including my cousin Blake who just returned home from his 2 year church mission! Have a great weekend! Pictures to come!

Slowly but surely...

So Clark and I have been in debate on what to do with our front room...do we make it another place to eat, like a dining room, or do we make it another sitting area. The decision is in and after searching Craigslist for something decent I found this:

I LOVE it! It fits in our price range and its only a year old with no scratches! The chairs even swivel...can you believe it! I wanted a high top table that was dark brown. The lady we are going to buy it from is super nice and even took my picture with it! Oh, I can not wait to pick this up on Wednesday! Our other table and entertainment center have been from Craigslist...you just have to be patient and you will end up finding something you love!

Surprise!

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to help our friend Danielle surprise her husband Chris for his 30th b-day! We all went down to Ybor in Tampa and waited outside a huge game arcade called Game works until they arrived. Chris and Danielle were supposed to he going to a "movie" but as they walked on by Game works we jumped out and yelled "SURPRISE!" He loved it! We all had a great time chatting, eating, and of course playing arcade games! Way to go Danielle for doing a great job!

Spicin' up my Kitchen

While walking around Old Time Pottery (a huge store filled with stuff to decorate your house...like a Home Goods but way bigger) I saw this holder and I HAD to have it! So I got some flowers and greenery and thought if I put it all together it would look great against my kitchen wall! I think it turned out pretty good!
